September 5th Basketball tournament at the AYC
The Allen Youth Center Youth Basketball Tournament

Ages: 10–17
The Purpose
The highly requested Allen Youth Center Basketball Tournament is a recreational event we’ve organized to give local youth a dependable space to play, practice teamwork, and experience the joy of friendly competition. It is an afternoon focused entirely on sportsmanship, community connection, and celebrating our kids.
Event Format
The youth are forming their own 5-on-5 teams to compete in three structured games throughout the afternoon:
Girls Game
Boys Game
Co-ed Game
Each game is a standalone event emphasizing participation over high-stakes advancement. The afternoon will conclude with an awards ceremony to recognize the effort, leadership, and sportsmanship of the players.
How Your Support Makes it Happen
Putting on a safe, fully equipped tournament requires community and donor support. Funding for this event directly provides the essentials that make the day a success, including:
Court Upgrades & Gear: Two brand new nets, game balls, and warmup basketballs.
Player Support: Hydration stations, fresh fruit and snacks, and ensuring our first-aid kit is fully stocked for safety.
Celebration: Certificates and cash prizes to recognize the winning teams and standout players.
Staffing: Referees and volunteers to ensure safe, fair, and organized play.
